Come join us at the next Fair Booster meeting and help be a part of this years Booster events. If you have other Booster related photos which you wish to share, please forward them via e-mail to: fairboosters@gmail.com OR bring them to our next regular Fair Booster meeting held at the Washington County Fair Complex in the Cloverleaf Building every first Wednesday of each month 7:00PM - 9:00PM. [Note: Parking is available at the Fair Complex's west parking lot.]

Also, visit our NEW "Fair History" page (see above tab) for information regarding a book that the Fair Boosters are working on with a projected publication date of mid-2010! Send in your old Fair & Rodeo photos and stories about the past Fairs to our Fair Booster Historian Inez Griffels as indicated on that page.

NOTICES:

1) After receiving significant public comment on the FIRST "Draft" of the "Fair and Fairgrounds Agreement" (Memorandum Of Understanding = MOU), The Washington County Board of Commissioners (BOC) have issued their SECOND "Draft" of the proposed "Fair and Fairgrounds Agreement" at their BOC work session held on Tuesday 2/2/10! The public comment period regarding changes to this proposed "SECOND DRAFT MOU" document is NOW OPEN, with public comments due to back to the County by close of business Friday 2/19/10 !!! 2) "Listen" to your County Commissioner Andy Duyck speak about the proposed "Fair and Fairgrounds Agreement" MOU (see Notice Item #3 above) as he discusses the upcoming changes for the Future Fair Complex, on KUIK's Friday 1/8/10 broadcast of "Washington County Today", with host Don McCoun (ref.: Interview starts at approx. minute 0:31 MIN. of the program (Click link here: "Washington County Today" 1/8/10 ).

3) The Fair Boosters recently presented their formal response to Washington County's "Draft MOU" at the Board of Commissioners meeting held on Tues. 1/19/10. (Click link here to see the attached letter: Fair Boosters "Draft MOU" response letter dated 1/19/10 ).

4) All are welcome to the next CPO #9 (Hillsboro/Orenco) meeting to hear and discuss the "Future of the Fairgrounds"! The meeting time and place is 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Monday, February 8th, 2010, at the Washington County Public Services Building, Room #140, located at 155 N. 1st Avenue, Hillsboro, OR. Please come and listen to your County Administrator, Current Fair Board and Fair Boosters discuss this important and popular topic in an open public forum! Finally, check-out our Bulletin Board (see last tab above) and comment and/or post your Fair Booster news items. You will first need to register then you can use the Bullentin Board. Your news item will be reviewed and posted once approved by the web master.

Wed - Feb 10 4:30 AM - 6:00 PM		Fair Board Meeting [NOTE: This Fair Board meeting was rescheduled from the regular meeting date of Wed. Feb 3rd, 2010.] The Washington County Fair Board Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, in the Cloverleaf Building, located at the Washington County Fair Complex just south of the Hillsboro Airport. Parking is available at the West Entry parking lot.
Wed - Mar 03 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM		Fair Board Meeting [NOTE: This regularly scheduled Fair Board meeting has been postponed until Wed. Feb 10th, 2010, 4:30-6:00PM.] The Washington County Fair Board Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, in the Cloverleaf Building, located at the Washington County Fair Complex just south of the Hillsboro Airport. Parking is available at the West Entry parking lot.
Wed - Mar 03 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM		Fair Booster Meeting The Fair Boosters Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, in the Floral Building, located at the Washington County Fair Complex just south of the Hillsboro Airport. Parking is available at the West Entry parking lot.
Sat - Mar 06 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM		Booster Work Party Event The Washington County Fair Boosters have a Work Party event typically on the Saturday morning, following the monthly Fair Booster Meeting. The Work Day event typically runs from 9:00 AM to about 12:00 PM (noon). The Work Day group meets at the Fair Booster water feature located just east of the Cloverleaf Building at the Washington County Fair Complex, due south of the Hillsboro Airport. Parking is available at the West Entry parking lot. All are welcome to participate as we cleanup the Fair Complex ground and do miscellaneous maintenance work to help improve appearance of the Fair Complex grounds.
