Q1. Who are the Fair Boosters?
A1. The "Washington County Fairground Boosters" aka the "Fair Boosters" are a 501-C-3 non-profit organization consisting of 100+ members and associate members who main purpose is to support and promote the Annual Washington County Fair.

The Fair Boosters originated back in 1950 as a group of concerned private citizens, then known then as the Fair Movers, whose main purpose was to help relocate the Washington County Fair from its original location at Shute Park in Hillsboro, OR, to its current location on centrally located 102 acres, located directly south of Hillsboro Airport and just north of the Max Line.

Q2. Why Should You Join?
A2. To help support the Fair Boosters mission of supporting the Fair Complex’s Mission Statement which includes; preserving the Annual Fair & Rodeo, promoting the “World-Class” agriculture of the County, provide a welcoming environment for volunteers, supporting life-long education of youth in agriculture (i.e. supporting the Future Farmers of America (FFA) and the 4H Organization).

In addition, the Fair Boosters help support community involvement in maintaining the existing Fair Complex buildings and grounds and supports the County's "Master Plan" for the Fair Complex with plans to rebuilding the facilities into a first-class venue for the Annual Fair & Rodeo, trade shows, public exhibitions and other public and community special gatherings. The Fair Boosters support all of the above with the goal of promoting the Washington County Fair Complex as a place where the citizens of Washington County can gather and share a sense of community.

Q3. Who May Join?
A3. Anyone interested in helping with the Annual Washington County Fair and supporting the Washington County Fair Complex’s Mission Statement (see this link “http://www.faircomplex.com/general/mission.html”).

Q4. What does it cost to join the Fair Boosters?
A4. Standard Individual Fair Boosters membership is $10.00/yr. and an Associate Fair Boosters membership is $25.00/yr.

There are now two "NEW" Fair Boosters membership categories as of July 2010, which includes; a Family membership at $15.00/yr. ( 2 adults and 2 children under 18 yrs. old) and a Life Time membership at $150.00 for life. 

All Fair Boosters membership dues are due July 1st of each calendar year. [Note: Associate Fair Boosters members support the spirit of the Fair Boosters cause, however, Associates are not directly active in Fair Boosters events and will not be solicited for same.]
